The Raleigh Bicycle Company, based out of Nottingham, England, was founded in 1885, making it one of the oldest bicycle companies in the world. By 1913 it was the largest bicycle manufacturing company in the world. This ladies All Steel is all original, has 2 flat tires, and is missing a kickstand.  Specifically in 1948, serial numbers were 4-5 digits followed by 2 random letters; the serial number on this bicycle is 14279 AK and is located on the side of the seat lug.
