STK 10463 1947 Saginaw Powerbike
The Saginaw Powerbike is one of the rarest motorized cycle attachments, beginning soon after WWII in America, and produced for about 7 years. Saginaw Products Corporation of Saginaw, Michigan introduced the Powerbike - a self-contained conversion kit that could be joined to any bicycle after its rear wheel and mudguard were removed. The engine is an air-cooled, single-cylinder, 4-stroke that could go up to 30mph. The Powerbike was considered safer than its counterparts due to being rear-mounted. Sears started selling the Powerbikes complete and ready to roll. This 1947 Saginaw Powerbike is an older restoration and does not currently run. ALL ITEMS SOLD "AS-IS"
