STK 10492 1953 Garton Kidillac
STK 10492 1953 Garton Kidillac
The Garton Toy Company manufactured wheeled toys in Wisconsin between 1879 and 1973. In 1950, the Kidillac was Garton’s most elaborate pedal car, its design based on the 1950 Cadillac. The pedal car features a streamlined, one-piece steel body with no seams or joints that would split apart, and a single-speed chain drive with ball-bearing pedal cranks. The 1953 model featured a rear-view mirror, an aerial, and a removable spare wheel/tire, and was offered in a "new, eye-appealing chartreuse" finish. This one-owner Kidillac was gifted new in 1953 and was originally that new chartreuse color. The original pedal car received a bit of a facelift within the past 3-4 years. It is now powder-coated blue and received a new mirror, antenna, and decals. ALL ITEMS SOLD "AS-IS"
